About Meditation

We offer meditation classes and programs for all levels of experience.

“Happiness is a state of mind, so the real source of happiness must lie within the mind, not in external conditions. If our mind is pure and peaceful we shall be happy, regardless of our external circumstances, but if it is impure and unpeaceful we can never be truly happy, no matter how hard we try to change our external conditions.”

— Eight Steps to Happiness by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso

Stress, anxiety and depression arise not from the external situation but from our response to it. Therefore the key to improving our lives is to change our mind. Meditation is the method for changing and developing our mind. Through meditation we can transform our approach to situations in our lives and become more skillful and creative in dealing with difficulties. Gradually our mind becomes more peaceful and positive.

There are many benefits to meditation:

  • Meditation creates an inner calm to combat stress.
  • It helps you relax your body and mind.
  • It helps you deal with difficulties in a positive way.
  • It gives you the wisdom to repair relationships.
  • It cultivates your compassion to cherish others.
