THE TRUE SOURCE OF HAPPINESS IS INNER PEACE
Our Mission:
To promote kindness, compassion, wisdom, and inner peace through practical teachings that help improve the well-being of all people.
Menlha Kadampa Meditation Center is a place to learn and practice Buddhist meditation as a way to solve our daily problems, grow spiritually, enjoy community, and transform our world. We are a volunteer led, non-profit organization founded in 1997 and part of a worldwide network of over 1,300 Centers for modern Buddhism. We are located in Lambertville, New Jersey in historical Music Mountain.
We’re glad you have found us and hope you find what you are looking for (and much more!) Everyone is welcome and warmly invited to try out any of the drop-in classes offered each week at our main center and branches. In these classes, we explore Buddha’s practical and enjoyable methods for cultivating deep inner peace and happiness.
We offer weekly meditation classes, day courses & events, and teach all levels of meditation, from beginner to advanced classes. We have a relaxed, peaceful environment and we invite you to visit our meditation room, or browse our bookstore & gift shop before and after classes. We also offer a Corporate Wellness Program for businesses. You do not need to be Buddhist to benefit from our classes and beautiful space.
All of our drop-in classes, study program classes, events and sacred sounds are offered in-person. We look forward to welcoming everyone to our new space. Any age; any gender; any race; any sexuality; any background; any religion; any income level. Everyone welcome!

Supreme Inner Protection
2025 Refuge Retreat
with Gen Kelsang Chogyop
Saturday, May 3 – Friday, May 9
Going for refuge is the first of the four great preliminary guides which lead us to the state of full enlightenment. Through training in sincerely going for refuge we enter the gateway to Buddhism; and training in the compassionate mind of bodhichitta we enter the gateway to the Mahayana – the main path to the state of enlightenment.
There will be various sessions a day, (guided and self-guided), and the practice is accomplished within the sadhana Essence of Good Fortune. Everyone welcome.
"Our Dharma centers are the main mechanism by which we give happiness to others. If our Dharma center flourishes, more and more people find the solution to their pain. We're busy engaging in meaningful activities, benefiting others through strengthening the power of our Dharma center."
– Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
